LA's Union Station is one of the last grand train depots in America, and it's an architectural jewel built in the California Mission style. The 1939 building contains a stunning three story waiting room with a beautiful wood beamed ceiling, mosaic marbled floors and archways leading to palm tree lined patios.
The comfortable old original wooden chairs are a great place to sit and soak up the atmosphere. There is a small food court, restrooms and pay phones available.
This out-of-the-way but nearby place is where Bosch and Rider went to discuss the case in "The Closers" that was filling with signs of "high jingo."
